Meet the Reftekk Team

Nick Petterson

Owner & President

Nick was born in Salt Lake City, Utah but moved to Boise at age four and has called Idaho home ever since. His educational journey took him from the University of Texas at Austin for his freshman year to Boise State University, where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Soon after, he co-founded Reftekk with one of his best friends. He is especially grateful that both his father, Bart, and brother, Zack, eventually joined the team. Nick's younger years were primarily shaped by academics, tennis, basketball, and an interest in car racing. He more recently discovered pickleball and quickly fell in love with the game. He went on to compete at a semi-professional level, with his highlight being a gold medal in mixed doubles at the 2023 English Open in the United Kingdom. That same year, to help grow the sport, he co-founded The Flying Pickle, an indoor pickleball club in Boise. In his free time, Nick enjoys working on house projects and trying to improve his golf game.
